“Lavander Life” in Mansoura: A Leading Model for Women Empowerment and Supporting National Industry
Mansoura – Special Report

Lavander Life Group has announced the opening of its first leather products factory in Mansoura, fully operated by Egyptian women, in a step that reinforces local industry and social responsibility.

Women Empowerment and Vocational Training
The project is part of Mansoura’s incubators under the supervision of the “Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency,” aiming to economically and socially empower women. The factory partnered with “House of Sewing” to provide specialized training programs for local women in leather products, opening new career opportunities.

Quality and International Standards
Dr. Mai El-Derawy, Founder and Chairperson of the Group, confirmed the factory’s commitment to the highest global quality standards, holding three ISO certifications, including ISO 9001, enhancing the competitiveness of Egyptian products locally and internationally, with plans to export to European markets.

Heritage-Inspired Innovation
The factory focuses on products with a storytelling element connecting the present to Pharaonic heritage, such as the “Lavandé” brand, inspired by stories of ancient Egyptian kings and queens, adding international competitive value to Egyptian products.

Government Support and Collaborative Efforts
The Group praised government support for the leather sector, particularly with the establishment of the integrated Rubiky City, and initiatives to revive factories and develop manufacturing industries, encouraging the Group to invest further and provide sustainable job opportunities for youth and women.
